Cali Clear Not Hitting, Blinking or Not Charging
Almost every problem is the battery, a blocked mouthpiece, cold oil, or the auto cut-off doing its job.

Counterfeit Cali Clear devices are common, and the fakes have got better. The packaging is close enough now that you cannot rely on a glance. What still gives them away is a short list of physical details that cost money to copy properly, which is why counterfeiters skip them.
Below is what to check, in the order that catches the most fakes fastest.
This catches more fakes than anything else. Genuine Cali Clear packaging is printed sharp and fully registered, meaning every colour layer lines up exactly. Hold the box under a light and look at the edges of the logo and the strain name.
If you have a genuine box to compare against, put them side by side. The difference is obvious once you see it once.
Every genuine unit carries a batch code, and the code on the outer box should match the code printed on the device itself. Counterfeiters often print a plausible code on the packaging and leave the device blank, or print a different one, because matching them across two production runs is extra work.
Check that the code exists in both places, and that the two match. A device with no code at all is the clearest fail on this list.
Current-generation Cali Clear devices charge over USB-C. If you are looking at a micro-USB port, you are holding either very old stock or a counterfeit built on cheap generic hardware. This is a quick check and it is difficult to fake, because the port is a physical component rather than a print detail.
A 2g device offered far below the going rate is the single most reliable signal there is. Nobody sources genuine stock at a loss. If a seller is well under what every other stockist charges, the stock is either counterfeit, expired, or stolen, and none of those is a good outcome for you.
Be equally wary of the opposite. A seller charging far above the normal rate is usually relying on you not knowing what the normal rate is.
Some fakes only reveal themselves in use.
Yes. Cali Clear is a real brand with a real product line, and counterfeits exist precisely because the brand sells well enough to be worth copying. Nobody bothers faking a product nobody wants.
So the useful question is not whether the brand is legit. It is whether your seller is. A seller who cannot tell you how their stock arrives, ships in loose or resealed packaging, or is priced well under everyone else, is where the risk actually sits.
Stop using it. Do not try to salvage it, and do not run it down to see if it improves. You do not know what is in it.
If you bought it from us, email us with a photo of the box and the device before you use it and we will replace it. If you bought it elsewhere, raise it with that seller and with whatever payment method you used, while you still can.
Every order from this site arrives in sealed retail packaging with the batch code intact. If something looks wrong when it lands, tell us before you use it rather than after.

The oil is consistent across generations. The draw is not, and that is usually what people react to.
