Cali Clear Zaza Blast: A Straight Review

Updated September 6, 2026

Zaza Blast is the flavour customers order by name, which makes it worth being straight about: what it actually tastes like, where it holds up, and who should order something else.

The flavour

The inhale is sweet and candy-forward, without the artificial edge that ruins most fruit vapes. Underneath sits a fuel note that arrives on the exhale and keeps the whole thing from going flat. That contrast is the entire character of the device.

It matters more than it sounds. Straight candy flavours are pleasant for a tank and tiring by the end of the second, because there is nothing for your palate to reset against. The fuel note here does that job, which is why Zaza Blast works as a daily flavour where sweeter options do not.

How it holds up across a full tank

Well, and this is where the liquid diamonds and live resin blend earns its place. The flavour on the last quarter is recognisably the same as the first, rather than thinning into generic sweetness the way distillate-based products tend to.

The usual cause of a Zaza Blast tasting burnt near the end is technique rather than the oil. Drawing to the auto cut-off repeatedly dries the wick faster than it can re-saturate. Shorter pulls with a few seconds between them fix it.

The effect

It is a hybrid and it behaves like one: balanced rather than heavy in either direction, clear-headed enough for daytime and soft enough for evening. That is the practical reason we point first-time buyers at it. You learn what the brand does without committing to an extreme.

Who should order something else

If you want it sweeter with no interruption, Pink Runtz is the one. It commits fully to candy and stays there, which is exactly what some people want and exactly what tires others out.

If the fuel note is what appeals and you want more of it, Turbo Diesel removes the sweetness entirely. Be warned that it is genuinely polarising.

If you want something layered rather than contrasting, Lemon Cherry Gelato is the more complete flavour: citrus, dark fruit and cream, none dominating.

The device

Two grams, draw-activated with no button, USB-C rechargeable, ceramic coil, not refillable. It arrives sealed with the batch code on both the carton and the device so you can check they match.

Charge it fully before the first session. A half-charged battery under-heats the coil and the opening tank tastes thinner than the device is capable of, which is the most common reason people are underwhelmed on day one.

Verdict

It deserves the position it has. It is not the most interesting flavour in the range, and it is not the most extreme in any direction, but it is the one that suits the widest set of people and stays drinkable across two grams. If you are buying one device and do not want to think hard about it, this is the correct answer.
