How Long Does a 2G Disposable Last?

A 2g disposable gives roughly six to eight hundred pulls. For most people that works out at one to two weeks, but the range is wide because the number depends far more on how you use it than on the device.

Why puff counts on packaging are optimistic

Published puff counts are measured on a machine taking short, consistent draws under lab conditions. Nobody vapes like that. A real session mixes short pulls with long ones, and the long ones consume disproportionately more oil.

Treat the figure as a ceiling rather than an expectation. It is not dishonest, it is just measured under conditions that do not resemble use.

What actually determines how long yours lasts

Draw length. The single biggest factor. A three-second pull uses roughly half the oil of a six-second one. Someone drawing to the auto cut-off every time will empty a device in a fraction of the time somebody taking short pulls does.

Temperature. A hot coil vaporises more oil per second. Chain-pulling keeps the coil hot and burns through the tank faster, on top of making the flavour worse.

Sharing. Obvious, but it is the explanation most often overlooked when a device seems to have gone quickly.

Tolerance. How much you need per session varies enormously between people, and it is a bigger variable than anything about the hardware.

Doing the arithmetic

If a session is ten pulls and you have three sessions a day, that is thirty pulls daily. At seven hundred pulls, a 2g device lasts about three weeks. Double the session length and it is ten days. Neither figure is wrong; they are just different usage.

Work out your own rough daily count and divide. It will predict your reorder cycle far better than any number printed on a box.

2g versus 1g

A 2g device lasts roughly twice as long as a 1g one, which is straightforward. The less obvious part is cost: the hardware costs about the same either way, so doubling the oil does not double the price. That is why the per-gram rate on the 2G range is better than on the 1g pens.

The pens earn their place on portability, not value. Most people who own both use a 2g as their main device and a pen as a second.

How to make one last longer

• Shorter pulls. Two to three seconds. This also keeps the flavour cleaner, so it costs you nothing.
• Pause between draws. Give the wick a few seconds to re-saturate. Chain-pulling wastes oil and produces the burnt taste people blame on the product.
• Keep it charged. An under-powered coil vaporises inefficiently, so you draw more to get the same result.
• Keep it warm. Cold oil is thick and wicks slowly, which tempts harder pulls.

When it is genuinely running out

The flavour thins first, then the vapour. If the oil window still shows liquid but the device feels weak, that is usually a flat battery or a blocked mouthpiece rather than an empty tank, and both are fixable. Our troubleshooting guide covers how to tell the difference.
